They have checked this route in person with their mobility equipment and gathered information like slope, path gradient and any potential barriers to help you decide whether it is suitable for your ability.

Route Information

A linear route taking in views of the Menai Strait and the coastline of Anglesey.  You will travel along the 2.5 kilometre or 4 miles Lon Las Menai cycle path which connects the pretty town of Felinheli and historic town of Caernarfon.

Please note that very first section from the waterfront in Felinheli climbs a steep slope that should be manageable for most motorised mobility equipment. If you’re using manually powered equipment, you may need some help. Or the route can be started at the top of this slope from the Felinheli doctor’s surgery.

You can join extend this walk by combining it with the Treborth Botanic Garden to Faenol Estate walk to make it an 11 miles or 18 kilometre walk between Treborth Botanic garden and Caernarfon. You can do this by walking along the path from Felinheli towards the Faenol Estate and continue following the Wales Coast Path signs towards Treborth Botantic garden.

The path between the Faenol Estate and Felinheli follows a rough track which is used for private vehicle access and can get muddy and uneven in wet weather.
