"This wonderful stretch of the Wales Coast path is steeped in history.  You’ll be walking on an old railway line through some tight little tunnels".

Route information

This was once a railway line, initially horse-powered, so no obvious gradient and is suitable for prams. With exception of tunnels the section from Coppit Hall to Wiseman’s Bridge, tiny seaside hamlet with a rocky beach.  This walk has fantastic uninterrupted views over Saundersfoot Bay.

Why not start by experiencing Augmented Reality using your mobile device (smart phone or tablet) with  the Wales Coast Path panel which is located in the carpark in front of the RNLI yellow structure.

Head north towards Wiseman’s Bridge, a coastal hamlet where there are facilities available and a service bus number 381 should you need it back to Saundersfoot (the Pembrokeshire County Council website has all the bus timetables for this area)

Want to go further?

For those who want to go further why not carry on to Amroth, a seaside village.  Or you could extend your walk in a different direction by visiting the nearby Stepaside Iron Works - a short, flat walk (4km / 2 miles) suitable for all ages.

Along the way

Stop off for a paddle or an invigorating swim enjoying the views over Saundersfoot harbour.
