A journey of celebration
Why not celebrate the Year of the Sea by walking the Wales Coast Path?
At 870 miles / 1,400 km long with start / finish points in the North (border of Chester) and the South (Chepstow), this path hugs the entire Welsh coastline.
Of course, you can begin your journey wherever you see our unique blue and yellow way-markers standing out proud to guide you along your way.
Don’t want to walk all 870 miles in one go?
No problem! You can easily ‘chunk up’ the path into manageable and do-able sections. There are plenty of walks that can be done in a day or over a weekend – you’ll be able to tick off those bits off your “To do” list in no time!
Walk around Wales….
Wales is the first country in the world to have a continuous footpath along it’s coastline in it’s entirety. It also links up with the 177 mile / 285km Offa’s Dyke Path National Trail, the path that borders between England and Wales.
This means that if you walked around the country of Wales, you would spend about 83% of your time with the sea and /or the coastline in your sight!
